Joe Alongi is an American born and raised Designer, Engineer and Entrepreneur. He was born in California and raised in New York. From birth, he was a creative thinker that began to craft and create from the littlest nuances.

Today, Joe spends his time building brands, stories, and applications that serve anywhere from few to thousands, as part of his exploration and venture into the world of digital startups and forward.

As a student, Joe studied Business Administration with a focus in marketing. Having spent a lot of time around campus through events and activities, he developed an interest in the social elements of human life.

Internship

As Joe began to develop his career aspirations and goals through school he learned more around technology and his path to impacting business with data, information, and technical skill.

From an early age, Joe had been a designer and developer, though had yet to discover the empowerment both provided in the business world. As he moved through courses in business, mathematics, and sociology, Joe began to find his niche.

A summer internship in Florida began Joe’s journey to understanding how he would learn to develop many of his early business skills. From design and video presentations, with web development, Joe caught on quickly, finding ways to express his ideas and impress.

Marketing and technology provided Joe the scope he needed to take his next step, evolving through the company for a year-long internship, which became his future role.

S-One Holdings

Joe became a salaried frontend engineer in January 2016, as he followed his path from internship to career. As many of his skills in design, motion, and business came along, he continued to make leaps with the teams to improve the web development teams progress.

One of the first projects Joe began was developing a solution with the web development team to create a host for manufacturer data and secondary market applications. Establishing a focused documentation system Joe implemented a layered structure for evaluating and capturing this concept, that followed through in the brands' web experiences.

This iterative step became the framework for product and management teams to improve the flow of communication, with the represented brands and internal processes around the globe. Joe worked with the global team to present and develop further impacts around this solution, involving many along the way, including multi-lingual teams.

As time grew on Joe became an integral part of the development team that established the new eCommerce platform for the major brand LexJet. This platform would unveil features to challenge popular eCommerce solutions with brilliant speed and organization.

The Startup Bus

In late July, Joe boarded a bus full of strangers with his teammate to build a project that would capture the ideas of students and minds alike. Planning, mapping, designing and building a business — to functioning application on a moving bus as he traveled around the Southeastern United States with a few great people.

Through the adventure, Joe developed an awareness of his leadership ability and connection with humans as individuals. The experience of studying people and users finally became a full circle event as he wrapped up the week with a joyous stay in the beautiful New Orleans.

Although his team did not win, Joe found an affinity for Startup Culture that brought a new focus to his work. Looking to build solutions of great impact in a new way, Joe took a trip back to Buffalo, NY.

Freelancing and Consulting

After returning home to Buffalo, Joe began an early venture with JustCode, that inspired his present pursuit. Following an epic development challenge on Product Hunt, Joe ventured into a realm of community.

In his recent adventures freelancing and consulting, Joe began taking projects that highlighted his ability and the reflection of growth possible by the many brands and businesses in Buffalo, NY.

As his venture pursues, Joe continues to establish with a continuous mindset of building means in which can be captured through open source and validated delivery. Each element produced contains moments of ideation and possibility.

The Future

As ventures progress, Joe is working on developing applications in both the social community and video space with the team from JustCode. Finding new opportunities in business and engineering he is establishing the brand he loves in the place he grew up.

Where the future takes him, he is not quite sure, though his aspiration of working with talent is surely always a horizon feat for someone as focused and equipped as this young entrepreneur.
